Additional Lawn Services

Lawn Aeration

Over the years, your lawn’s soil becomes compacted from normal use and traffic, restricting the air, water, and nutrients your lawn’s root system needs to thrive.

Lawn aeration breaks up this compacted soil and gives grass roots a breath of fresh air. Early summer is the best time to aerate your lawn—our certified LPS technicians use specialized equipment to pull plugs of soil from the top 2-3 inches of your soil layer, opening up your turf’s root system. These plugs smooth back down in no time. Meanwhile, your grass will grow healthier and greener.

Grub Control

While a few white grubs are not a problem in your lawn, a high population will destroy the root system of your grass. A high grub population can also be a buffet for moles and armadillos. To prevent thinning turf in your lawn, a Lawn & Pest technician will apply a two-part granular insecticide, targeting the different stages of a grub lifecycle. Our grub control treatment will stay active in your lawn for up to 90 days.

Insect & Disease Control

Brown or thin spots in your yard aren’t always the result of a lack of nutrients or improper watering.

Insects like armyworms, billbugs, chinch bugs and spittlebugs can suck the life out of your grass. In addition, certain conditions may make your lawn vulnerable to fungus and diseases that rob your lawn of vital nutrients.

It takes a trained eye to look at a lawn and pinpoint exactly what’s causing the problem. Lawn & Pest technicians are certified pros who work as a team to accurately diagnose your lawn care issues and implement a customized plan to treat them.

Shrub Fertilization

Just like your lawn, your shrubs need care to ensure continued health and growth. During spring and summer, Lawn & Pest technicians use extended-release fertilizer to make sure your shrubs grow well long term. The extended-release fertilizer will promote continued growth, unlike the quick-release fertilizer sold in stores, which only promotes a flash of growth. Sustained growth is better for the health of your plants.

Plant Health Care

During spring and summer months, Lawn & Pest technicians target the most prominent insects for each corresponding season and treat any diseases your plants may be suffering. Our Technicians will inspect the plants for problems, like aphids, mealybugs and scale, before treatment to target specifically what’s needed. Consider combining this service with shrub fertilization to get the most out of your landscape plants.
